Add the excitement of the 50MHz 6m amateur band (50 - 54MHz) easily to any modern 2m (144 - 148MHz) ham transceiver, including hand helds.

With the same general features as our popular 1208 6 Meter transverter, the Model 1209 was designed for those regions where 6M FM repeaters take the load off busy 2M systems. You find yourself making cross-country simplex QSO's during those exciting 6M band openings.

A transverter lets you transmit as well as receive on 6 Meters using the precision digital tuning, available modes, memories and other features of your VHF transceiver. It's simple: 144.000 MHz on your display or dial becomes 50.000 MHz. The 8 watts RF output is generous power during good band openings and for local communications and repeaters.
