AR-ALPHA |
The AOR AR-Alpha is a new commercial grade receiver which may be 19-inch rack mounted or used as a desk-top receiver.
With continuous coverage from 10 kHz to 3.3 GHz, using wide band receive, advanced DDS and DSP technology, the AR-Alpha delivers a powerful monitoring, searching and recording capability. Fast frequency processing is achieved by means of FFT and signals are visually displayed on the 6.4" TFT LED display both spectrally or as a waterfall function. TV signals can also be displayed (NTSC, PAL & SECAM).
Powerful DSP is employed at both IF and demodulation stages allowing many functions including Digital Filtering, Auto Notch filter, IF Shift, Noise Reduction, Analogue Voice De-scrambler, Tone Elimination, DCS, CTCSS, Level Squelch and Noise Squelch.
Modes of reception include: WFM (in stereo selectable de-emphasis), NFM, AM (Synchronous AM, diversity synchronous AM), ISB, RZSSB, USB, LSB, CW, P25, Video (FM, AM NTSC/PAL). Dual communications ports are available on the back panel supporting both RS-232C and USB 2.0 connection. A 12kHz output is also provided for external DRM & SDR reception. I/Q outputs are provided with 1MHz Bandwidth.
Input RF performance is provided by 17 high performance input Band Pass Filters and high linearity RF stages. A 10.7MHz 2nd IF stage is used and an innovative ZERO-IF 3rd IF is used for the DSP function. The receiver is referenced to an OCXO (Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator) or external 10MHz reference.
Unit is supplied with:
- Printed operating manual.
- DC power cable.
- Rack mount handles and screws.
- CD with operating manual (pdf), USB and IQ drivers with installation guide. Note; The CD has the "drivers" not an operating program.
