MM8600 - Mobile mount for the AR8600 receiver

Wrap around mobile mount for the AR8600 receiver. This mount is not 'officially' intended for under-dash vehicle mounting as no 'crash testing' has been conducted or implied and the safety during an accident cannot be guaranteed... mounting in a caravan, boat etc is envisaged.

The MM8600 is supplied with four nuts / bolts / washers for bulkhead mounting onto a solid metal surface, four screws are also supplied for mounting on to a wooden or plastic surface.

The MM8600 may be mounted with the fixing bracket on the bottom (as shown here) for mounting on top of a shelf or the fixing bracket may be positioned on the top for mounting underneath a shelf... sounds confusing bit it isn't really!

The exact mounting position along the AR8600 cabinet may be moved forward and backward a few centre-meters so that the radio may 'fit in' with the surroundings. The radio is held by rubber blocks to prevent damage to the AR8600 cabinet, the clasp (similar to that of a suitcase) is then closed to securely hold the radio in place. The fixing plate may be angled by several degrees to provide a better viewing angle.

If the AR8600 is to be mounted into a 'tight space' but the angle adjustment is not required, it is theoretically possible to discard the fixing place.
